Description: Discover Diversity at Dickinson is a special opportunity for promising high school seniors from diverse backgrounds and/or first generation students. A limited amount of funding is available to cover expenses.

Emory University
Location: Atlanta, Georgia
Program Name: Cultural Overnight Recruitment Experience (CORE)
Program Date: October 11-13, 2018
Application Closing Date: August 15, 2018
Description: Emory University’s CORE fall visit program is designed to support talented, high-achieving high school seniors who are from first generation and/or underrepresented cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds. The Office of Undergraduate Admission will purchase plane tickets for students selected to attend who live outside a 275 mile radius of Atlanta, Georgia.

Franklin & Marshall College
Location: Lancaster, Pennsylvania
Program Name: Collegiate Leadership Summit
Program Date: September 23-25, 2018
Application Closing Date: August 27, 2018
Description: The cost of travel and attendance is covered by the college. Program is open to high school seniors with a minimum 3.3 GPA in rigorous classes, backgrounds underrepresented in higher education, and students must have demonstrated leadership in school or the community.

George Washington University

Program Name: Your GW
Program Date: September 22-24, 2018; October 28-29, 2018
Application Closing Date: August 1, 2018 for the September program; September 15, 2018 for the October program
Description: Program is open to prospective high school seniors who are committed to succeeding in a diverse and inclusive environment. The college will offer a limited number of travel grants to and from D.C. for the program.

Grinnell College
Location: Grinnell, Iowa
Program Name: Diversity Travel Opportunity
Program Date: September 23-24, 2018
Application Closing Date: September 3, 2018
Description: Students can apply for a free trip to Grinnell. Applicants must be high school seniors, students of color or the first in their family to attend college, and be interested in liberal arts education.

Hamilton College
Location: Clinton, New York
Program Name: Diversity Overnight Program
Program Date: September 16-18, 2018; October 28-30, 2018
Application Closing Date: August 3, 2018 (priority deadline); will accept applications as space permits.
Description: Diversity Overnight program is an opportunity for diverse seniors to visit campus and experience life at Hamilton. While all students are welcome to apply, the selection process will prioritize the applications of students from ethnically diverse backgrounds and those from families with limited financial resources, regardless of racial background. If accepted, all transportation, lodging, and meal costs for the program are covered by Hamilton College.

Harvey Mudd College
Location: Claremont, California
Program Name: Future Achievers in Science and Technology (FAST) Program
Program Date: September 20-22, 2018; November 8-10, 2018
Application Closing Date: August 23, 2018
Description: The FAST Program is free to all participants and includes lodging, meals, and travel accommodations. Participants will also receive a fee waiver for the freshman application. Program is open to high school seniors from populations that are traditionally underrepresented in the STEM fields.

Haverford College
Location: Haverford, Pennsylvania
Program Name: Have-A-Look

Description: Haverford can provide need-based travel scholarships. Program is for prospective students from diverse backgrounds.

Hope College
Location: Holland, Michigan
Program Name: Fly-In Weekend
Program Date: November 8-10, 2018
Application Closing Date: Registration will close two weeks prior to event
Description: Hope College will reimburse 50% of airfare (up to $300), and cover transportation to and from airport, lodging, activities, and food during their stay.

John Hopkins University
Location: Baltimore, Maryland
Program Name: HOME: Hopkins Overnight Multicultural Experience
Program Date: September 27-29, 2018
Application Closing Date: September 1, 2018
Description: The program is aimed to bring to campus a diverse group of students from different backgrounds and experiences. Travel scholarships and logistical support are available for qualified students.

Kalamazoo College
Location: Kalamazoo, Michigan
Program Name: Intercultural Fly-In Program

Description: Program is open to students from under-represented backgrounds who are interested in learning more about diversity and inclusion at Kalamazoo College. Applicant must have applied and been admitted to the College. For students who are interested, the College will subsidize student airfare or other travel costs, provide meals, and provide overnight accommodations on campus.

Kenyon College
Location: Gambier, Ohio
Program Name: Cultural Connections
Program Date: October 28-30, 2018

Description: Current high school seniors are invited to attend Cultural Connections to immerse themselves in the Kenyon community and learn how their hilltop campus in central Ohio embraces diversity. Students can apply for a travel grant.

Lafayette College
Location: Easton, Pennsylvania
Program Name: Our Beloved Community (OBC) Symposium
Program Date: November 10, 2018

Description: OBC is a celebratory event quest for intellectual growth that characterizes the Lafayette experience. Financial assistance may be available on a limited basis to help with the cost of traveling to and from campus. Overnight hosts are available for students who are traveling from a significant distance.

Lehigh University
Location: Bethlehem, Pennsylvania
Program Name: Diversity Achievers Program

Description: DAP is a culturally based overnight program go allow students to immerse themselves in life at Lehigh for two days and one night.

Lewis & Clark College
Location: Portland, Oregon
Program Name: Compass Scholars Weekend
Program Date: November 4-6, 2018
Application Closing Date: September 17, 2018
Description: At the College’s expense, meet current students and faculty, participate in leadership development activities, sit in on classes, spend two nights in a residence hall, try the food, have an admissions interview, visit Portland, and experience life at Lewis & Clark College firsthand. Lewis & Clark College will cover the cost for transportation, lodging, and meals.
