Davis Scholarship for Women in STEM

Closing Date: June 4, 2020
Description: Scholarship is open to minority female students who are classified as college sophomores, juniors or seniors in the Fall and attend a UNCF member institution. Preference will be given to students from Massachusetts, although all eligible students are encouraged to apply. Applicant must be majoring in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics) and have at least a 3.0 GPA.

Kay Longcope Scholarship Award
Sponsor: National Lesbian & Gay Journalist Association (NLGJA)

Description: Scholarship is open to LGBT individuals of color planning to pursue a career in journalism and are able to demonstrate their passion and commitment to the profession.

GAPA Foundation Scholarships

Description: Scholarships are open to high school seniors and current college students who express activism in the Asian and Pacific Islander (API) and/or lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ) communities; however, applicants do not need to identify as either to apply. Preference will be given to those who identify as both API and LGBTQ. There is no citizenship requirement, however student must be attending a U.S. accredited institution.

Description: Scholarships are open to API program participants. There are multiple scholarships with specific requirements – see website for details. In addition to general scholarships, there are scholarships specifically open to community college students, military veterans, non-traditional students, students with disabilities, minority students, LGBTQ students, STEM majors, and student athletes.

Description: Scholarship is open to students of color who identify as agnostic, atheist, humanist and/or secular. Description: Scholarship is open to currently enrolled students working towards a degree in a field of Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics from a group underrepresented in their field of study. David Hudak Memorial Essay Contest for Freethinking Students of Color
Sponsor: Freedom From Religion Foundation
Amount: Up to $3,500
Closing Date: July 15, 2020
Description: Competition is open to freethinking students of color ages 17-21 who are either high school seniors or students currently enrolled in a college or university. Applicant must submit an essay on a given prompt related to rejection of religion. The contest is offered to provide support and acknowledgment for freethinking students of color, as a minority within a minority.

The Dream is Inclusive Scholarship

Description: Scholarship is open to high school graduates who are legal residents of the United States and currently enrolled (or plan to enroll no later than the fall of 2025) in an accredited post-secondary institution of higher education. Applicant must be of Spanish, Russian, or Chinese heritage/descent. Applicant must submit an essay on a given topic related to inclusivity.

Description: Scholarships are open to undergraduate and graduate students enrolled in a dental hygiene or dental program.
