If you are a member of the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer + community, there are scholarships out there just for you. In addition, many of these scholarships are also open to LGBTQ+ allies.

Point Foundation Scholarship Program

Description: Scholarships are open to high school seniors and current college student who are “out” as a person who identifies as a member of the LGBTQ community. There is no citizenship requirement, but applicant must be attending or planning to attend an institution in the United States.

Description: Scholarships are open to California graduating high school seniors and current college students who have provided service to the LGBT+ community (open to all sexual orientations). High School Seniors English Essay Contest

Description: Contest is open to students aged 18 and under who have not yet graduated from high school and who are gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender or an ally. Applicant must submit an essay on “pink ink.”

Elsie Frank Scholarship

Description: Scholarship is open to graduating Massachusetts high school seniors who will attend a two-year or four-year college or technical/vocational school and have a commitment to the LGBTQ community.

Asian Pacific Fund Scholarships

Description: Scholarships are open to students in California who are of Asian descent. Multiple scholarships available with specific requirements. See website for details. In addition to general scholarships, there are scholarships specifically open to Computer Science, Economics, Environmental or Physical Science, Engineering, Journalism or Mathematics majors, and LGBT students.

Description: Award is open to Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Two Spirit, Queer and Questioning youth activists (through age 20) who have transformed their experience with bigotry and discrimination into opportunities to inspire others by taking action, rallying support, building community, and working to change the systems and institutions that impact their lives. Applicant must be nominated.

Carter Stroupe Memorial Scholarship

Description: Scholarship is open to currently enrolled students working towards a degree in a field of Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics from a group underrepresented in their field of study. API Study Abroad and Intern Abroad Scholarships
