February Scholarships

Carl N. & Margaret Karcher Founders’ Scholarship
Sponsor: Carl’s Jr.
Amount: Up to $10,000
Closing Date: February 15, 2019extended to March 1, 2019
Description: Scholarship is open to students, age 21 and under, who reside in Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Louisiana, Nevada, New Mexico, New York, Oklahoma, Oregon, Texas, Utah, Washington or Wyoming. Application must be a high school senior or graduate who plans to enroll for the first time in full-time undergraduate study at an accredited two-year or four-year college, university, or vocational-technical school for the entire upcoming academic year.

PAF’s Scholarships for Survivors
Sponsor: Patient Advocate Foundation (PAF)
Amount: $3,000 annually up to four consecutive years, as long as applicant meet the guidelines of the program
Closing Date: February 23, 2019extended to March 17, 2019
Description: Scholarship is open to students pursuing a Bachelor’s degree or higher who are under the age of 25 and have been diagnosed with or treated for cancer, a chronic, or life threatening debilitating disease within the past five years.

AAEP Winner’s Circle Scholarship

Description: Scholarship is open to National AAEP student members who are active within their school’s AAEP chapter. Applicant must be currently attending an AVMA Accredited College of Veterinary Medicine.

ACPA College Scholarship
Sponsor: American Cleft Palate-Craniofacial Association
Amount: Up to $4,000
Closing Date: February 1, 2019
Description: Scholarship is open to graduating high school seniors and current college students who have a diagnosis of cleft lip and/or cleft palate or other congenital craniofacial difference). Preference will be given to rising first-year students in any field and to currently enrolled students in a field of study related to cleft or craniofacial conditions (e.g. genetic counseling, speech-language pathology).

AEF Scholarship
Sponsor: Ascend Educational Foundation
Amount: Up to $20,000
Closing Date: February 1, 2019
Description: Scholarship is open to immigrant students and children of immigrants who are graduating from a New York City high school, regardless of ethnicity, national origin, or immigration status.

American Indian Services Scholarship
Sponsor: American Indian Services (AIS)
Amount: Varies
Closing Date: February 1, 2019
Description: Applicant must be one-quarter (1/4) Northern-Native American Indian and enrolled in undergraduate studies at a university, junior college, or technical school. Applicant must have at least a 2.25 GPA.

ANS Scholarships

Description: Scholarships are open to current undergraduate and graduate students pursuing a degree in nuclear science, nuclear engineering, or a nuclear-related field.

Arkansas PTA Scholarships

Description: Scholarships are open to high school seniors, parents who are presently not a certified teacher, and current certified teachers in the state of Arkansas. Applicant must be planning on completing their education in education to become a certified teacher.

Bachelor’s in Nursing Degree Scholarship

Closing Date: February 1, 2019
Description: Scholarship is open to students enrolled for their senior year of a bachelor of nursing degree program at an NLN or CCNE accredited School of Nursing in the 2019-2020 academic year.

Bart Kamen Memorial FIRST Scholarship

Amount: $10,000
Closing Date: February 1, 2019
Description: Scholarship is open to graduating high school seniors who have been accepted to, or applied for admission, to an eligible undergraduate program, which means a full-time program in Biomedical Engineering, pre-medical studies, or a program that allows students to pursue a chosen major while simultaneously completing a subset of medical school prep courses. Applicant must have participated as a team member for a minimum of one year on a FIRST LEGO League, FIRST Tech Challenge, or FIRST Robotics Competition team.

Better Brothers LA Book Scholarship

Description: Scholarship is open to Black LGBTQ students who are residents of Los Angeles County and who have been admitted or are attending an accredited degree, licensing, or vocational program.

BMI Student Composer Awards

Description: Award is open to citizens of a country in the Western Hemisphere who is engaged in the study of music with a recognized and established teacher (other than a relative). Applicant must have been born on after February 2, 1990. Applicant must submit one composition.

Community Foundation of Northern Illinois Scholarships

Description: The majority of scholarships are for graduating high school seniors and current college students who reside in Boone, Ogle, Stephenson and Winnebago Counties in Illinois.

Dan Klepper Memorial Scholarship

Description: Scholarship is open to currently enrolled college students in Texas who are preparing for a career relating to the outdoors, environmental conservation, or wildlife management and conservation and whose plans include communicating their findings, opinions, and observations with the general public through mass media.

EngineerGirl Essay Contest

Description: Essay contest is open to girls and boys in grades 3-12. Applicant must submit an essay on a given topic related to engineering design and problem solving.
