Description: Scholarship is open to high school and college students in the United States who are/will be enrolled in college within the next 12 months. College Counts Scholarship

Description: Scholarship is open to high school seniors or first-time college freshmen beginning in fall 2019 who are Alabama residents and planning to attend an Alabama eligible education institution. Applicant must be a U.S. citizen and have at least a 2.75 GPA.

Courage to Grow Scholarship

Description: Scholarship is open to juniors and seniors in high school and college students with a minimum GPA of 2.5. Applicant must explain in 250 words or less why they believe they should be awarded the scholarship.

Do Something About Gun Violence: Share Your Thoughts

Description: February 14, 2019 marks the one year anniversary of the Parkland school shooting, which took the lives of 17 people at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School. Simply share your thoughts in the DoSomething portal and they will send it to your state’s elected officials. You’ll be helping elected officials understand how young people feel about this issue and you’ll automatically be entered to win the scholarship.

Description: Scholarship is open to female African-American graduating high school seniors with at least a 2.75 GPA. Applicant must be involved in school and community activities and must have completed at least 200 hours of documented community service.

Description: Scholarship is open to female African-American students who are at least 21 years of age and are accepted to a college or university. Applicant must demonstrate special talents gained through previous academic work, civic contributions, and/or social services.

Friends of the California State Fair Scholarship Program

Description: Scholarship is open to graduating high school seniors and current college students who are legal residents of California. There are 14 categories of scholarships – see website for details. In addition to the general scholarships, there are specific scholarships open to Agriculture, Art, Business, Culinary Arts, Education, Enology, Hospitality Management or Viticulture majors.
