Minimum Wage Video Contest

Description: Contest is open to filmmakers aged 14-23. Applicant must create a 1-3 minute video arguing for or against minimum wage laws and proposals to raise the minimum wage.

NFBPA Scholarship Program
Sponsor: National Forum for Black Public Administrators
Amount: Up to $10,000
Closing Date: February 8, 2019extended to February 25, 2019
Description: Scholarship program is designed to recognized African-American and minority students who are currently enrolled full-time at a traditional four-year college or university, preferably a HBCU, and exemplify outstanding scholarship and leadership.

Richard and Louise Varco Scholarship
Sponsor: Richard and Louise Varco Scholarship Fund, Saint Paul and Minnesota Communication Foundation
Amount: Up to $5,000
Closing Date: February 25, 2019
Description: Scholarship is open to students who plan to enroll in full-time undergraduate, graduate or professional level study at an accredited two-year or four-year college, university, or vocational-technical school in Minnesota for the entire 2019-2020 academic year. Applicant must have at least a 2.5 GPA OR be a worker displaced under extraordinary circumstances.

Sowers Club of Nebraska Scholarship – High School Seniors

Description: Scholarship is open to graduating high school seniors who are residents of Nebraska and planning to attend a college in Nebraska.

Asian Pacific Fund Scholarships

Description: Scholarships are open to students in California who are of Asian descent. Multiple scholarships available with specific requirements. See website for details. In addition to general scholarships, there are scholarships specifically open to Computer Science, Economics, Environmental or Physical Science, Engineering, Journalism or Mathematics majors, and LGBT students.

First Catholic Slovak Ladies Association Annual Scholarship Program
Sponsor: First Catholic Slovak Ladies Association (FCSLA)

Closing Date: February 26, 2019
Description: Scholarship is open to members in good standing with the Association for at least three years prior to date of application. Applicant must also have a policy with the organization in his or her own name. Scholarships are open to students in grades 1-12, as well as college and graduate students. Award must be used towards tuition for the 2019-2020 academic year.

RMEL Foundation Scholarships
Sponsor: Rocky Mountain Electric League (RMEL)
Amount: Up to $3,000
Closing Date: February 27, 2019
Description: Scholarships are open to graduating high school seniors and current undergraduate students who live in a service areas of a RMEL member company (308 RMEL member companies across 38 states – see website for list of utility company members). Applicant must be planning or currently studying in engineering, business, information systems, plant, line or distribution technology, line worker, or other curriculum related to the electric energy industry.

Description: Scholarship is open to residents of the United States and the District of Columbia who are at least 17 years of age and no more than 24 years of age and currently attending an accredited post-secondary institution in the United States or plan on attending in the fall of 2019. Description: Scholarship is open to high school seniors in the United States who will be attending a four-year college in the fall of 2019. Applicant must have proven themselves as exceptional leaders in combating intolerance, prejudice and injustice in their schools and communities.
