Brother James Kearney Scholarship Program for the Blind
Sponsor: Lavelle Fund For the Blind, Inc.

Description: Scholarship is open to current college students who are either legally blind or so severely visually impaired that a Lavelle-sponsored vision assessment expert confirms that the student would need special support services to succeed in college. Applicant must be studying at one of 11 participating colleges in the New York City area.

API Study Abroad and Intern Abroad Scholarships

Description: Scholarships are open to API program participants. There are multiple scholarships with specific requirements – see website for details. In addition to general scholarships, there are scholarships specifically open to community college students, military veterans, non-traditional students, students with disabilities, minority students, DACA students, LGBTQ students, STEM majors, and student athletes.

Hartsoe Law Firm Law School Scholarship

Description: Scholarship is open to students who are attending an undergraduate, JD, LLB, or LLM program at a college, university, or law school in the United States. Undergraduates must be interested in pursuing a law school education. Preference will be given to (a) students who have held various jobs to help support themselves through school, (b) students who have overcome personal adversity, or (c) are concerned about the rancorous tenor prevalent in American politics.

Description: Scholarship is open to students in good standing with a GPA of 3.0 or higher who are seeking an undergraduate or an advanced degree at an accredited institution of higher education within the United States. Applicant must submit an essay on how their field of study will positively impact the lives of people with a disability and a personal statement on how and why they choose to give back to the community.

Auger & Auger Disabled Scholar Award

Amount: $1,000
Closing Date: November 30, 2020
Description: Scholarship is open to graduating high school seniors with acceptance to an accredited school or current undergraduate students in the United States. Applicant must have a disability and have a minimum GPA of 2.8.

Mary P. Oenslager Scholastic Achievement Award
Sponsor: Learning Ally
Amount: Up to $6,000
Closing Date: November 30, 2020
Description: Scholarship is open to Learning Ally members who are completing undergraduate or graduate degrees and are blind or visually impaired.
