Thanksgiving Scholarship

Description: Scholarship is open to students in 9th, 10th, 11th, and 12th grades and living in the following areas of Texas: Alvin ISD, Clear Creek ISD, Deer Park ISD, Dickinson ISD, Friendswood ISD, Galveston ISD, Hitchcock ISD, LaPorte ISD, Pasadena ISD, Pearland ISD, or Texas City ISD. Applicant must submit an essay n a time they helped make a difference in their school or community and must include a photo of their volunteer effort.

Military Child of the Year Award

Description: Award is open to young people ages 13 to 18 who are children of someone who is/was in the military.

Access College Early (ACE) Scholarship Program
Sponsor: Nebraska’s Coordinating Commission for Postsecondary Education
Amount: Varies
Closing Date: December 15, 2019
Description: Scholarship program is open to low-income high school students to enroll in college courses from Nebraska college or universities, either through dual-enrollment or early enrollment agreements with the institutions. Deadline is for fall term classes.

Description: Scholarship is open to students currently enrolled in high school or college within the United States with at least a 3.0 GPA. Applicant must be a citizen of, permanent resident, or hold a valid student visa in the United States or Canada. Applicant must have designed an innovative project that makes a difference in the lives of others and submit an essay describing the goal of the particular project and provide supporting documentation.

Teens for Jeans: Collect Jeans for Local Youth Experiencing Homelessness

Description: Almost 40% of people experiencing homelessness in the United States are under 18. One item they commonly request in homeless shelters is a pair of jeans. Recruit your friends and classmates to donate their gently-used jeans! Teens for Jeans is a nationwide youth-led drive to collect jeans for young people in homeless shelters. Before we collect the jeans, we need people to join the drive. Sign up for Teens for Jeans and encourage friends to do the same. National WWII Museum Essay Contest
