Elementary school children may not know where they want to go to college or what they want to study, but thinking about paying for college can be intimidating for their parents. Below are scholarships and contests for students in elementary school.

Annual Fruit Shoot Photo Contest

Description: Contest is open to anyone. Contestant must submit a photo on the subjects of fruit, flowers, roots or any vegetative plant parts.

Description: Scholarship is open to Utah residents with valid U.S. social security numbers who are 18 years of age or younger. Student must participate in the 2019 summer reading program at their local public library.

We the Future Contest
Sponsor: Constituting America
Amount: Varied based on class standing
Closing Date: September 17, 2019
Description: Contest is open to K-12 students, college students, law school students, graduate schools students, adults 25 years of age and older, and seniors 65 years of age and older. Contest is about the U.S. Constitution. Each age group has different requirements, so applicants should visit website for details.

Tom Howard/Margaret Reid Poetry Contest

Description: Contest is open to poets of all ages and from all nations. Contestant must submit one English poem only with a maximum of 250 lines.

George Montgomery/NRA Youth Wildlife Art Contest

Description: Contest is open to students in grades 1-12, including home-schooled students. Student must submit a piece of art on a given topic related to North American game birds or animals that may be legally hunted or trapped.

NRA Civil Rights Defense Fund Essay Contest
