There are thousands of scholarships out there. Below you will find many scholarships, most with general eligibility requirements. My goal is to share some lesser-known scholarships with my readers every Saturday.

Bryon Riesch Paralysis Foundation Scholarship

Description: Scholarship is open to graduating high school seniors and current college students who have neurological disabilities or are the child of a person with a neurological disability. Priority will be given to direct spinal cord injuries and diseases resulting in paralysis such as spinal tumors, strokes or aneurysms affecting the spinal cord, or spina bifida.

CIA Undergraduate Scholarship Program

Amount: Up to $25,000

Description: Scholarship is open to incoming and current undergraduate and graduate students. Undergraduate students must work at least one, and preferably two, 90-day session(s) at CIA before graduating. Graduate students must work at least one 90-day tour at CIA before graduating. After graduation, all scholarship recipients must work at CIA for a period of 1.5 years per year of paid scholarship received.

Community Service Block Grant Scholarship

Description: Scholarship is open to students enrolled or accepted at an Illinois accredited higher educational or occupational training institution. Applicant must be a DuPage County (IL) resident, meet income requirements, and have at least a 2.5 GPA.
