November 2020 DoSomething Scholarships

Do you like making a difference in your school or community? If you do, DoSomething has many campaigns to make a difference, and for participating, you will be entered to win a scholarship! Below are campaigns from DoSomething that are accepting entries in November.

$1,000 Easy Scholarship: Make a DIY Mask (No Sewing Required)
Scholarship Amount: $1,000
Closing Date: November 15, 2020
Description: You could win an easy $1,000 scholarship by using our step-by-step guide to make a mask (no sewing required!) to keep yourself, your friends, and your family healthy during COVID. COVID-19 spreads mainly from person-to-person through respiratory droplets produced when an infected person coughs, sneezes, talks, or raises their voice. Upload a photo of the mask you make by November 15th to be entered to win a $1,000 scholarship. (Added bonus: after submitting your photo, you’ll be eligible for a volunteer credit certificate.)

Between COVID-19, the election, distance learning, and more, students are more stressed out than ever. Here’s how you can help: take 2 minutes and share your tips on how you manage stress. Your tips will be added to a crowdsourced guide on fighting student stress that’s by young people, for young people. You’ll make an impact on others’ mental and emotional wellbeing, you and you’ll be automatically entered to win a $1,000 scholarship. Let’s Do This.

$1,500 Easy Scholarship: Use a Greener Way to Travel for a Day
Scholarship Amount: $1,500
Closing Date: November 30, 2020
Description: You could win an easy $1,500 scholarship just by using an environmentally sustainable way to commute to school, work, or another place you commonly visit. Just answer 5 easy questions about how you normally get around and we’ll give you a greener way to travel (like cycling, walking, or carpooling), plus an easy way to calculate just how much carbon dioxide you’d save from being emitted into the atmosphere. Upload a photo of your greener commute. You’ll fight global climate change *and* enter to win a $1,500 scholarship!

Eligibility Information

While there is no GPA, test score, or essay requirements, there are some eligibility requirements students must meet to enter any of the above scholarship opportunities:

  • US or Canadian citizens, regardless of residence OR reside in the U.S. or Canada.
  • 13 to 25 years of age.

The above scholarship contests are easy to enter and you’ll be making a difference. Check them out and participate before the closing dates.
