DLA Scholarships

Closing Date: January 31, 2019
Description: Scholarships are open to Delaware students who are enrolled in an ALA-accredited Master’s Degree in Library Science program (or library certification program) and high school juniors and seniors students wishing to pursue a career in librarianship or writing.

EAA Scholarships
Sponsor: Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA)
Amount: Varies
Closing Date: January 31, 2019
Description: Scholarships are open to graduating high school seniors and current college students. Applicants must be majoring in Aviation, Aerospace Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, or a related field. In addition to general scholarships, there are scholarships for students in Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, Wisconsin, and Wyoming.

EPP/MSI Undergraduate Scholarship Program
Sponsor: National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
Amount: Up to $45,000
Closing Date: January 31, 2019
Description: Scholarship is open to U.S. citizens who are currently enrolled as a full-time 2nd year student in a four-year academic program; or transferring from a two-year to a four-year institution, or a 3rd year student in a five-year program. Applicant must be studying a discipline related to NOAA’s programs and mission at an accredited minority serving institution.

eQuality Scholarship Collaborative Scholarships

Description: Scholarships are open to California graduating high school seniors and current college students who have provided service to the LGBT+ community (open to all sexual orientations). In addition to the general scholarships, there are scholarships open to Nursing students and Medical students.

Ernest F. Hollings Undergraduate Scholarship

Amount: Up to $9,500
Closing Date: January 31, 2019
Description: Scholarship is open to full-time sophomore students who are majoring in a discipline related to NOAA’s programs and missions. Applicant must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 and be a U.S. citizen.

Florida Law Group Scholarship

Description: Scholarship is open to incoming and existing law students enrolled in the Spring 2019 semester. Applicant must submit an essay on a given topic realted to “Scivener’s Error.”

Geraldine “Polly’ Bednash Scholarship

Description: Scholarship is open to students admitted or enrolled in a baccalaureate or higher degree nursing program at an AACN member institution affiliated with CastleBranch (see link for details). Applicant must also have at least a 3.2 GPA in current program or at last school attended.

Golden 1 Credit Union Scholarship

Description: Scholarship is open to Golden 1 members (California) and their dependents. Applicant must be a graduating high school seniors or current college student attending an accredited, nonprofit college or university in California during the 2019-2020 school year.

Harvey Simon Memorial Scholarship

Description: Scholarship is open to students who will be enrolled in a four-year college or university during the Fall 2019 term. Applicant must have had a form of cancer sometime during their lifetime.

Hispanic Metropolitan Chamber Scholarship

Description: Scholarship is open to graduating high school seniors and current undergraduate and graduate students who are of Hispanic ancestry and are permanently residing in Oregon or Clark County, Washington.

I Have a Dream Scholarship

Description: Applicant must be 13 years of age or older, be a resident of the 50 United States or the District of Columbia, and be currently enrolled (or enroll no later than the fall of 2025) in an accredited post-secondary institution of higher education. Applicant must submit a short essay (250 words or less) about a dream.

Leaders Save Lives Scholarship Program

Description: Scholarship is open to all high school and college students. Applicant must host an American Red Cross blood drive between December 15, 2018 and January 31, 2019.

Lint Center for National Security Studies Scholarships

Description: Applicant must be pursuing a career related to national security.

Description: Scholarships are open to graduating high school seniors who will be enrolling in college for the fall semester, or a First, Second, or Third year student currently enrolled in a full-accredited college or university.
