Do you like making a difference in your school or community? If you do, DoSomething has many campaigns to make a difference, and for participating, you will be entered to win a scholarship! Below are campaigns from DoSomething that are accepting entries in October.

Grab the Mic: Share DoSomething’s Guide About Your Rights at the Polls
Scholarship Amount: $3,000
Closing Date: October 31, 2018
About: A Brennan center report found that the incident rate of voter fraud for most elections is anywhere between 0.0003 percent and 0.0025 percent. Despite the miniscule incident rate for voter impersonation fraud, yet citing voter fraud as their motivation, there are many who intimidate voters at the polls and prevent them from voting.
How to enter: Share DoSomething’s guide about voting rights that will help you educate your friends, family, and community on how to navigate their rights at the polls. Each action completed on the campaign page equals one entry. Unlimited entries.

Online Voter Registration Drive: Share a Link to Help Your Friends Register to Vote!
Scholarship Amount: $5,000
Closing Date: October 31, 2018
About: 62% of unregistered people say that they have never been asked to register to vote.
How to enter: Simply share a link DoSomething provides with a friend by text, email, or social media to help them register to vote. It only takes two minutes for them to register and you’ll be registered to win the scholarship. Unlimited entries!

Voter Registration Quiz: “How Ready Are You For The Midterm Elections?”
Scholarship Amount: $3,000
Closing Date: October 31, 2018
About: Young people are poised to affect the outcome in over 50+ races. Lots of young people are nervous voting for the first time.
How to enter: Share a quiz with friends about “How Ready Are You For the Midterm Elections?” and automatically be entered to win the scholarship. Every quiz shared counts as an entry. One entry per person.

Share a Helpful Tip with a Friend
Scholarship Amount: $5,000
Closing Date: January 15, 2019
How to enter: Help prevent impaired driving by giving a friend a (house, mailbox, etc.) key to start the conversation about how you can prevent impaired driving. Each action completed on the campaign page equals one entry. Each action counts as an entry. Unlimited entries!

Eligibility Information

While there is no GPA, test score, or essay requirements, there are some eligibility requirements students must meet to enter any of the above scholarship opportunities:

  • US or Canadian citizens, regardless of residence OR reside in the U.S. or Canada.
  • 13 to 25 years of age.

The above scholarship contests are easy to enter and you’ll be making a difference. Check them out and participate before the closing dates.
