  15. Are there any scholarships for students wanting to be sign language interpreters or studying ASL?

    • I have not seen any scholarships specifically for students studying ASL. I recommend checking with your ASL teachers, as well as the ASL department of the college you are considering. Scholarship providers that provide scholarships for students applying ASL will probably notify ASL teachers and professors since it is such a specialized field. Good luck!

  17. I am looking for scholarships for Archery and someone with Dyslexia. Do you have any information?

    • I haven’t seen many scholarships for archery, but there are some. Check out the National Field Archery Foundation Scholarship (https://www.nfaausa.com/scholarships). As for scholarships for people with dyslexia, there are a lot more than archery. I am planning on putting a list together for students with learning disabilities. In the meantime, just do a simple search of “scholarships for students with learning disabilities.”

  18. I would like to thank you so much for this article!!
I have applied to about 100 scholarships, but have only won one so far. I was wondering if there are any scholarships that just look at merit?
    Thank you!!

    • Hi Maryam. The only pure merit scholarships are probably only found at college and universities that offer merit scholarships. For private scholarships that have a limited number of scholarships, they usually have to look for more than just merit. Why? What would they do if 100 students applied with 4.0 GPAs and only 5 scholarships to award? They’ll have to add other criteria because although it would be nice to give it to everyone, the funds probably are not there.

      • Thank you so much! I will look into other scholarships!

In the meantime, I would recommend creating a profile at Fastweb. They will notify you of the scholarships in their database in which you might meet the qualifications.
